Frequently asked questions

What’s the difference between a list, picture list, and story?

A list shows words and phrases in a table, making it easy to browse and study them one by one.

A picture list shows words and phrases on a labeled picture, helping you learn them through what you see.

A story shows words and phrases within a paragraph or story, helping you learn them in context.

What are tests in EasyMem?

Tests help you practice and check what you’ve learned in EasyMem.

You can practice in different ways, including flashcards, typing, multiple choice, listening, tables, fill-in-the-gaps, and visual tests. This lets you practice what you’ve learned by seeing it, hearing it, understanding it, and recalling it.

Tests also work with your learning progress. You can focus on words you’re struggling with or still learning, and your progress is updated as you take tests — so you always know what needs more review.

What happens when I save someone else’s content?

When you save someone else’s content, it’s added to your library, where you can start learning it. Once saved, you can take tests and track your learning progress for that content.

Your progress is your own, so you can see what you’ve learned, what you’re struggling with, and what needs more review.

You can also add your own words and notes, making the saved content more useful for your own learning.

How does publishing work in EasyMem?

When you publish your content, a shareable link is created that you can send to friends or anyone you want. Anyone with the link can view your published content. You can also choose to show your content in Explore, EasyMem’s public gallery, where other users can discover it.

After publishing, you can keep making changes without affecting what you’ve already shared. When you’re ready to share your latest changes, you can publish a new version.

What counts toward my library limit?

Your library limit is based on the number of learning words in your library.

For lists and picture lists, every word counts. If you save someone else’s content, words you add yourself and words you hide also count.

For stories, only the words and phrases marked for learning count — not every word in the story. For example, if a story contains 500 words but only 20 are learning words, only those 20 count toward your limit.

What are AI credits used for?

AI credits are used when EasyMem’s AI helps you create learning content. This includes generating details such as meanings, examples, memory tricks, pronunciations, and other helpful information.

You can also use AI credits to generate images for picture lists.

You can turn off AI generation and create your content manually at any time.

What happens to my unused AI credits?

Unused AI credits stay in your balance. Each billing cycle, your plan adds more credits up to your plan’s credit limit.

Credits you purchase separately don’t count toward this limit.

What happens if I change or cancel my plan?

If you upgrade your plan, your new plan and its benefits become available right away.

If you downgrade, your current plan stays active until the end of your billing period. Your new plan starts after that.

If you cancel, your current plan stays active until the end of your billing period, then your account moves to the free plan.

Your existing content and learning progress won’t be removed. If you’re over your new plan’s content limit, you can still access your existing content, but you won’t be able to add more until you remove enough content to get below the limit or upgrade your plan.

Your AI credits also stay in your balance, even if they’re above your new plan’s credit limit. However, new plan credits won’t be added until your balance falls below that limit.
