What does marking a word as mastered do?
Taking a word you are finished with out of the queue, and putting it back.
It takes the word out of your review queues, so it stops coming round while you work on the rest.
It is reversible: clear the mark and the word rejoins the queue at the percentage it already had. Tests can still include mastered words if you ask for them.
