What happens if I reach my plan-credit limit?

Nothing stops. The limit is how many plan credits you can be holding at once, not how many you can spend — reaching it only means the next monthly top-up has nothing left to add.

Spend some and the following month fills you back up. Extra credits are outside the limit, so they can always be added.
